The Starhotels E.c.ho. – Ecological contemporary hotel, one of the first examples of 100% green hotel architecture in Milan, is a revolutionary "case study" of sustainable architecture and design, as evidenced by the prestigious awards and certifications earned in just few years.

As of today, Starhotels E.c.ho. is also part of Beyond Green: a global and diversified portfolio of the most sustainable hotels on the planet at the forefront of sustainable tourism.

Environmentally-Friendly Practices

The focus of this pillar is on the “green operations” of a sustainable property - reduce, reuse, recycle. It includes all the best practices to reduce energy, water, waste, and carbon impact. Some of our practices are: toiletries made with 100% recycled products; restaurant menus featuring biological agriculture products; a partnership with Too Good To Go and Banco Alimentare, active with Fedegroup - company partner that manages the dining - to reduce food waste; charging stations for e-vehicles, electric bike/scooters for our guests, and much more.

Protection of Natural and Cultural Heritage

All Beyond Green members are engaged in programs, policies, and initiatives to support cultural heritage. Some examples of Natural Heritage initiatives including projects to improve the quality of life in Milan and a "compensation system" for our clients and their events in the green meeting rooms. Regarding Cultural Heritage, Starhotels E.c.ho. besides, reflecting the typical Milanese reputation for fashion and design, supports the local culture.
