The Museo of Opera Duomo in Florence open with its new and spectacular look.

Here you can admire the most important collection of medieval and Renaissance Florence sculptures with masterpieces by Michelangelo, Donatello, Lorenzo Ghiberti, Luca della Robbia and Arnolfo di Cambio.

The fulcrum of the new Museo of Opera is the great hall of the Ancient Façade, with the huge model of Florence Cathedral’s medieval façade, designed by Arnolfo di Cambio.

In front of this enormous wing, there are 40 statues from the fourteenth and early fifteenth centuries, made by masters like Donatello and Nanni di Banco.

On the opposite side of the room, facing the façade, are the wonderful Gates of Paradise, on its sides, the North door of the Baptistery and the South door by Andrea Pisano.

Continuing through the museum, there are other works of inestimable artistic and spiritual value, the Penitent Magdalene by Donatello and Michelangelo’s Pietà.
