MAMbo – Museum of Modern Art

Designed to promote contemporary art in BolognaMAMbo is an avant-garde museum offering interesting exhibitions. 

National Picture Gallery

It is one of Italy’s best-known art galleries, for the richness of artwork it displays. Bologna’s National Picture Gallery has thirty rooms housing works by Bolognese and Emilian artists, from the 1200s to the 1800s.

Morandi Museum

It is named after the famous painter from BolognaGiorgio Morandi, to whom the museum is dedicated. 

International Museum and Music Library

Civic Museum of Industrial Art and Davia Bargellini Gallery

It is a wonderful house-museum (admission is free), with works of the Bolognese School, from the 1300s to the 1700s, displayed in seven rooms furnished in the style of an eighteenth-century mansion.

This museum was awarded many prizes and accolades owing to its rich collection of over 2000 original and working pieces that take you through the history of modern communication and forms of expression.
