Modern and Contemporary Art Gallery
GAMeC of Bergamo showcases sculptures, paintings and drawings by Italian and foreign twentieth-century artists, a collection of models for medals donated by Vittorio Lorioli, in addition to etchings by Trento Longaretti, engravings by Giovanni Fattori and by Carlo Carrà, two futuristic living systems by Joe Colombo and a collection of 623 photographs.
Carrara Academy and Picture Gallery.
Bergamo’s famous Carrara Academy is both a Picture Gallery and Academy of Fine Arts. It currently houses 1.800 paintings, ranging from the fifteenth to the nineteenth century.
The museum, located in Bergamo’s lovely piazza della Cittadella, is divided in several different sections: Prehistoric, Egyptian, Roman, Early Christian and Lombard.
Civic Museum of Natural Sciences
The museum is dedicated to the memory of Enrico Caffi, a naturalist and geologist from Bergamo, and features over one million permanently-displayed finds. T
Lorenzo Rota Botanical Garden
Bergamo’s Botanical Garden is located in the “upper city” area. It is a small, 1.750 square-meter oasis dedicated to the collection, cultivation and display of both tropical and autochthonous vegetation.
Dedicated to the great composer from Bergamo, Gaetano Donizetti,the museum displays the Maestro’s memorabilia.
