A treasure trove of beauty and know-how that has made us who we are and is the object of love and desire around the world."
Thanks to the partnership with OMA - Associazione Osservatorio dei Mestieri d’Arte, Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte and Gruppo Editoriale, Starhotels conceived and promoted La Grande Bellezza, initiative to celebrate the rich Italian heritage of talent and savoir-faire.
The project involves a series of worthwhile actions to support the sector:
● the involvement of outstanding masters of the arts in the renovation of hotels, exhibitions, meetings and events promoted in Starhotels and in art and cultural spaces;
● the institution of the biennial Starhotels Award dedicated to craftspeople, for creating works based on contests related to hospitality;
● the creation of Starhotels-branded product lines of the highest craftsmanship, under the guidance of renowned designers;
● a broad range of Craft Experiences, reserved for guests, to be experienced in leading craft workshops in Venice, Milan, Florence and Rome;
As part of the project “La Grande Bellezza,” Starhotels confers a bi-annual award whose primary aim is to valorize the repertoire of Italian crafts and artisan masters.
Starhotels entrusts outstanding contemporary designers to conduct the Art Direction of several product lines that will become part of the Starhotels collections. Discover Cloris and Phoenix, the handcrafted home décor collections conceived by Sara Riccardi, one of the most in-demand and talented designers working today.
