Apicio by Eataly (Starhotels Metropole, via Principe Amedeo, 3). The restaurant serves cuisine that melds the traditional and the contemporary, in which the finest of quality dictates the tone.

Romolo al Porto (via Porto Innocenziano no. 19). They propose full-bodied flavors and refined dishes including a chowder of plain fish with short pasta and spaghetti with shellfish. 

The Osteria dell’Orologio (via della Torre Clementina no. 114, Fiumicino). Is in the center of the old town of Fiumicino, where the traditional Mediterranean kitchen teams up with the creativity of Chef Marco Claroni, whose creations satisfy all the senses. 

La Baia (via Silvi Marina no. 1, Fregene). A restaurant with a long tradition that is also famous for the excellent quality of its products.

Tirreno Village (via Gioiosa Marea, Fregene). The excellent restaurant proposes, among other delights, a terrific fillet of bass and roast octopus. There are also a quick service lunch bar and a lounge bar on the beach. 

Claudio Petrolo (piazza Conca no. 20/21, Gaeta). The tasting menu, called Lasciateme Fare [Leave it to me], offers an outburst of the chef’s creativity.

Il Tino (via Monte Cadria no. 127, Fiumicino). A bastion of star-studded cooking, has recently moved from Ostia to Fiumicino, inside the area of the shipyards.

Gli Archi (via Ottaviano no. 17, Sperlonga). First courses are the pride of the kitchen. Some examples are the Spaghettone Verrigni, tossed with anchovies and aromatized breadcrumbs, or Maccheroni with inkfish sauce.

Bottega Sarra 1932 (via San Francesco no. 52/54, Terracina). An elegant family-run restaurant with an important collection of vintage wines and well-supplied cellar.

Il Grappolo d’Uva (Lungotevere Matteotti no. 1, Terracina). Has been receiving guests directly on the beach with a breathtaking terrace in the shadow of the fascinating Temple of Jupiter, a very special setting for romantic suppers and receptions.
