Torino’s Egyptian Museum and its artistic treasures are back to their original splendor!

The museum is considered to be one of the world’s most important collections devoted to the art and culture of ancient Egypt, second only to Cairo’s.

In order to fully enjoy the newly-renovated museum and the city’s charming sights, book a room at the Majestic, you will get two complimentary tickets for one of the city’s best-known museums of your choice!

The Egyptian Museum houses amazing collections of Egyptian antiquities, spanning from 4000 B.C to 700 A.C, in a 9,000-square-meter space divided into four floors and redisplayed in a modern museological way which is like a journey back in time.

Among the most significant changes is the installation of new display cases, which are  more suitable for precious artefacts, and the rearrangement of the papyrus collection now gathered all in the same section.

One of the museum’s highlights is the long Sarcophagi Gallery on the first floor, whose new presentation results from the cooperation with the Vatican Museums, the Louvre Museum and Leiden’s Rijksmuseum.

A modern and multimedia layout, including an itinerary devoted to the Nile and a new escalator system, in addition to high- tech facilities for hearing-impaired visitors, have greatly improved the viewer’s experience.

The museum is open every day from 8.30 am to 7.30 pm (on Mondays from 9 am to 2 pm).
