Italian Hotels | History of the Starhotels Group
Starhotels - L'Italia nel cuore

Over 30 years Starhotels has grown into an Italian success story in the hospitality industry and, to this day, remains a flourishing family business through generations.

In 1980, the founder Ferruccio Fabri established the hotel group in Italy on the three principles of Italian style, passionate faultless professionalism and a keen business sense: these became the distinguishing elements of the luxury hotel group's brand and development.

After 20 years under the guidance of Ferruccio Fabri, who is still Starhotels' inspiration, the past decade has been marked by the managerial flair, pragmatism and cosmopolitan vision of his daughter, Elisabetta Fabri. Mrs Fabri has an instinct for anticipating tastes, trends and guests' future needs while retaining the core brand values of Starhotels. Down to the 2nd generation, the whole family is dedicated to a life of Italian hospitality.

In the strategic acquisition of different properties in key destinations, Starhotels continues to build a portfolio of hotels that focus on several markets: business guests, conferences and leisure guests. The five luxury Collezione hotels in the beautiful cities of New York, Paris, Milan, Venice and Trieste focus especially on the needs and desires of leisure guests, while also catering for premium business guests and events.
